In the first article of this series , I introduced the concept of how robotic process automation (RPA) technology is going to be foundational for growth in the staffing industry, specifically as it relates to automating the majority of the sourcing process. While the primary purpose of investing in RPA technology is to increase the company-wide ratio of job placements per recruiter, it will ultimately elevate the profession by reducing aspects of the job ...

A dysfunctional business process became an operational bottleneck and you saw the potential for automation to boost efficiency, speed outcomes, and free staff time. So you gathered requirements, identified a promising solution, and made the investment. But now your staff haven’t adopted the solution, or they’re not making use of its full functionality. You’re just not seeing the ROI you expected. It happens to the best-run organizations – a lot of investment in time and capital is made for a system to be underutilized or worse, mothballed. But why? And what can you do about it? Common Reasons Process Automation Doesn’t Lead to Expected ...

Hi all, I work for a large manufacturing organization (20K + employees) where Records Management currently falls under the Legal function. Recently, as our primary source of records retention moves from paper to electronic, one of the higher ups voiced her opinion that the records management function may no longer be necessary. Her reasoning is that it is becoming an IT function. In addition, there are other roles within the organization whose duties may overlap the records manager tasks - for instance, compliance officer, privacy office, etc. I disagree with this reasoning. Okay, as records manager, maybe I am biased, but I still believe that records management ...

Loan policy exceptions are exceptions that are made to a financial institution’s loan policy, which defines how and to whom the bank or credit union lends. Loan policy exceptions occur when a financial institution decides to take actions that fall outside of its standard lending practices. Examples of Loan Policy Exceptions One financial institution could potentially serve hundreds or thousands of individuals, businesses, nonprofits, and other entities. Creating a loan policy that perfectly anticipates and addresses the diverse needs of such a broad customer or member base is practically impossible. Making occasional exceptions to the financial institution’s ...

Every organization’s Accounts Payable department seems to have one: the AP guru who knows every code, every vendor, and every account. Your AP professionals may understand the process inside and out, yet they can fall behind at the job without the technology resources they need to deliver excellence. Accounts Payable automation untangles the process by capturing and coding invoices, checking data like amounts and P.O. numbers, and executing and recording payments. Automation validates and routes invoices through approvals while flagging exceptions for human review. It frees AP experts to focus on higher-level tasks like vendor management, financial ...
